Total Solar Eclipse 2017 August 21 from Jay Em, Wyoming

I was fortunate to be able to view the total solar eclipse on August 21, 2017 from Jay Em, Wyoming. My wife and I drove from northern Colorado and initially thought we would view the eclipse from Torrington, Wyoming. But after studying the totality zone we realized that Torrington was not the best location as it was in the lower section of totality and more northern location would be better.

We also knew that Lusk, Wyoming was about the same as Torrington except it was above the totality zone.

So we settled on a place known as Jay Em, Wyoming which is just a 'dot on the map.'

We got to Jay Em with plenty of time to prepare for the eclipse, and at about 11:44 am totality began and lasted for just over 2-minutes. It was really an awesome experience and one that you can only appreciate in person.

I was able to video the end of totality and the 'diamond ring' as the sun was revealed behind the moon.
